Learning to Live a Full and Purpose-Filled Life in Christ

The purpose of the Bridge to Discipleship experience is to help the believer grow in their personal relationship with God to become participants instead of spectators in their Christian journey.  This task is accomplished in an initial twelve-week course titled the Disciple’s Cross.  The Disciple’s Cross contains six lessons/disciplines that will help provide the believer with a roadmap to enhance their personal relationship with God through Christ Jesus.  One of the primary purposes of the class is to take the focus of the believer from self to Christ.  This is accomplished through the aforementioned six lessons which include:  1)Spend Time with the Master; 2)Live in the Word; 3)Pray in Faith; 4)Fellowship with Believers; 5)Witness to the World and 6)Minister to Others.

In each class, participants will be expected to have read their lessons, participated in quiet time and memorized a specific memory verse.  These tasks are essential in the respective believers following the roadmap to an enhanced personal relationship with the Holy Trinity.  The class will spend a lot of time in Chapter 15 of the Gospel of John.  The primary scripture from John Chapter 15 will be John 15:5, where Jesus provides:  “I am the vine, ye are the branches:  He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit:  for without me ye can do nothing.”  This course helps the believer understand the importance of Jesus being the center of their Christian walk.  Although there are no guarantees in life, we are confident that your committed participation in the Discipleship’s Cross experience will result in a positive, life-changing experience.
